Android is a software stack for mobile devices that includes an operating system, middleware, and key applications. The Android SDK provides the tools and libraries necessary to begin developing applications that run on Android powered devices.

If you set earlier (previous) version of Mac OS X, than it was on, your computer may exhibit unexpected behavior, such as:
- The trackpad or mouse may not respond properly
- Your computer may stop responding
- Sleep / Wake issues may occur

Important: Even if one version of the system software may be identical to the version number to another, the software may not be exactly the same. For example, you can have a retail version of Mac OS X 10.5 installation disk and the computer may have come with Mac OS X 10.5. Your computer may have additional software specific to it included in its software CD (Mac OS X 10.5), which can not be present on the retail Mac OS X 10.5 disc. See this article for more information.
Be sure to use the original software discs that came with the computer when the reinstall Mac OS X, if you install the new version (such as installing a retail version of Mac OS X 10.5 to Mac compatible, that comes with Mac OS X 10.4 fine). This is particularly important in the creation and installation of custom disk images.
